The Adventure Park sells packaged food and drink in its park store but does not offer prepared or fresh food for takeout or group meals. Catering is a popular option that can make event planning easy and efficient. Groups large and small often inquire about using a catering service to provide food and drink at The Adventure Park.
Since the grand opening in 2014, The Adventure Park has worked with a number of local catering services and is happy to offer their menus and pricing below. This list does not include all of your options but does feature proprietors that understand our unique location and the limitations to outdoor catering. The Adventure Park has a great relationship with the services featured below. Some of these vendors have even provided discounted pricing for events catered at our site.
What the Adventure Park provides to groups needing catering:
The Adventure Park offers reservable amenities to groups planning an event on site. A big top tent (20×40), picnic tables, pop up tents (10×10), refuse cans and bags, PA system, and even use of a small generator. Discounts are also offered to our customers for indoor meeting and banquet space at our host site, the Jewish Community Center of Metro Detroit. Please contact our office for information on all reservable amenities or indoor space. Equipment available for group bookings must be reserved in advance and are reservable on a first come first reserved basis. Power cords are available for use with advanced request.
Food trucks or carts
Catering for groups using food trucks is an option that some Adventure Park groups have chosen. Use of food trucks must be coordinated through the park manager but you are welcome to use this type of food service for your event. There are specific restrictions on where food trucks may be located on site. Power or water service is not available for these vendors. Food trucks must be self-contained and are responsible to provide park management with a certificate of insurance (with additional insured) prior to the event. Any damage to the host grounds is the responsibility of the group.
Items you will need to provide for your catered event
Although there are some picnic tables that are reservable for guest use, most large events find that they need more tables. Additional tables should be rented from a party supply company along with matching chairs and linens (if desired). Portable restrooms are located at the rear of The Adventure Park and can be freely used by all guests. Separate or private restroom service must be arranged by the group coordinator. Large groups often choose to rent larger tents to support their event. Other services sometimes sought for special events are valet services, entertainers (bouncers, field games, DJ’s, face painters, hay rides etc.). All of these vendors permitted but must be approved and coordinated through the park manager.
Golf carts are not permitted on campus but the use of any mobility scooter is allowed.
